Scouts' holiday event Sunday

WILLIAMSPORT - "A Charlie Brown Christmas," is from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, in the Springfield Farm Barn. Parking will be available near the barn.

Donated trees have been decorated with the theme of the group that donated them, including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Williamsport High School Band, Williamsport Elementary School classes, Fountain Rock Elementary School, Red Hat group, and the official town tree.

Carolers will be on hand inside the barn; shop at the old time Christmas Market with baked goods, candies, real Christmas trees, garlands, wreaths and more. For a fee, pictures will be taken with Santa Claus. The holly, jolly yellow school bus, provided by Gene Sword, will offer trips around town.

Horse-drawn carriage rides will also be offered for a fee. At 7 p.m. music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas," will be performed by the fifth-grade class of Williamsport Elementary School, as well as holiday music by the Riversong Show Choir of Springfield Middle School. Refreshments will be available.
