CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- A hit-and-run accident on North Main Street in Chambersburg on Thursday afternoon sent two people to the hospital, a spokeswoman for the Chambersburg Police Department said.
The accident was reported at 1:09 p.m. Thursday, when a red car, described as possibly an Acura or Chevrolet, struck a pedestrian in the 200 block of North Main Street, police said in a news release.
The victim attempted to stop the car, and was dragged when the driver put the vehicle in reverse, police said.
Two people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not known.
