Waynesboro man reports mugging

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- A Waynesboro man reported to police a mugging that he said occurred at the intersection of South Potomac Street and West Second Street at 1:53 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the man saw three people near the intersection and soon afterward heard footsteps behind him. One male reportedly said, "We are just taking this; don't do anything stupid" as someone reached into the victim's back pocket and removed his wallet.

The victim told police he did not turn around. All he saw was that one of the males was wearing a mustard-colored sweatshirt and the other a white sweatshirt or jacket with black symbols resembling skulls, police said.

Anyone with information can call police at 717-762-2131.
