Today: College financial aid workshop for students and parents, Clear Spring High School's media center, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Dec. 11 and Jan. 8: Toddler time, Hancock Library, 10:30 to 11 a.m. For ages up to 36 months. Stories and finger plays. Register by calling 301-678-5300.

Dec. 12: Breakfast with Santa Claus, Big Pool Community Building, 9 a.m. to noon. Fundraiser for Big Pool Ruritan Club. Advance tickets cost $4.50 for ages 12 and older; $3 for ages 6 to 12. Tickets at the door cost $5 for ages 12 and older; $3.50 for ages 6 to 12. Free for ages 5 and younger.

Dec. 28-29: Great Tri-State Rotary Shootout boys basketball tournament, Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) High School. Games begin at 6 and 8 p.m. each day. Teams include Hancock, Clear Spring, Berkeley Springs and Southern Fulton. Admission costs $4 for adults; $2 for students.

Dec. 29-30: Hancock Holiday Shoot the Lights Out Classic girls basketball tournament, Hancock Middle Senior High School. Games begin at 1 p.m. on Dec. 29 and at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30. Teams include Hancock, Broadfording, Clear Spring and Southern Fulton. Admission costs $4 for adults; $2 for students.
