Hancock beats BW at buzzer

GIRLS BASKETBALL



HANCOCK -- Tiffany Younker made a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Hancock to a 58-57 win over Bishop Walsh on Monday night.

Chelsea Stigile led the Panthers (2-0) with 20 points, 15 rebounds and eight steals, while Maureen Levy had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Brianna Swisher had 12 boards and four assists and Younker added five assists in the victory.

Jordan Wills and Lena Tilsworth each scored nine points in the fourth quarter as Saint James outscored Broadfording 20-7 in the final period to take the victory.

Wills finished with 15 points, five rebounds, four steals and two blocks for the Saints (2-2), while Tilsworth had 12 points two steals and two assists.

Charlotte Worsfold had 14 points and Katie Connolly had 13 for Broadfording (2-2).
