MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Larry A. Saylor Sr., 65, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at City Hospital.

Born Aug. 15, 1944, in Dargan, Md., he was the son of the late Morris and Juanita Ingram Saylor.

He was a custodian at Tomahawk Intermediate School.

He retired from AT&T/Lucent Technology in Martinsburg after 25 years of service.

He was a member of Hedgesville Assembly of God.

Mr. Saylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.

He was one of the founders of Hedgesville Little League and loved to hunt on his farm in Mount Storm.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary "Bunnie" Hensell Saylor; two sons, Larry A. Saylor Jr. and wife Joyce, of Mount Storm, and James M. Saylor and wife Tina, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one daughter, Carrie E. Kesecker and husband Bryan, of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Kota, Austin and Cheyenne Kesecker; three step-grandchildren, Heather Reed, and Trenton and Colton Walter; two brothers, Wayne Saylor, and Rodney "Pete" Saylor and wife Betty, of Keedysville, Md.; and one sister, Diane Potter of Spring Mills, W.Va.


Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Hedgesville Assembly of God, with Pastors Don Webb and Chris Jones officiating. Military graveside services will be in Samples Manor Cemetery in Dargan.

Friends will be received Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hedgesville Assembly of God.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
