Sprecher, Rishell lead Leopards past Gaels

SMITHSBURG -- Katie Sprecher scored a game-high 18 points as Smithsburg beat St. Maria Goretti 53-34 on Tuesday night in girls basketball.

Sara Rishell had 13 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks for the Leopards (2-0).

Cassie Rzomp led the Gaels (3-1) with nine points.
