Troop 136 holds Court of Honor

Boy Scout Troop 136, Halfway, held its Court of Honor on Oct. 7 at the Church of the Holy Trinity.

The troop members conducted the opening ceremony.

Scoutmaster Don Gehr presented the following awards:

o Joshua Andrews: First Aid, leatherwork and swimming merit badges, Firem'n Chit, Totin' Chip and Scout Rank

o Nick Buonocore: Archery, basketry, electricity, family life, personal fitness and woodcarving merit badges

o Luke Giancola: Archery, rifle shooting and woodcarving merit badges; OA ordeal

o Gunnar Ingram: First Aid, leatherwork and swimming merit badges, Firem'n Chit, Totin' Chip and Scout Rank

o Michael Langmyer: Camping, electricity and pottery merit badges

o Anthony Martinez: First Aid, leatherwork and swimming merit badges, Firem'n Chit, Totin' Chip and Scout Rank

o Steven Paniagun: Scout rank

o Alex Potter: Archery, environmental science, rifle shooting and traffic safety merit badges; OA Ordeal

o Tyler Rice: Communications and personal fitness merit badge

o Ben Robinson: Art, emergency preparedness, environmental science, orienteering, photography and traffic safety merit badges; emergency preparedness award; star rank counselor in training staff award from Sinoquipe Scout Reservation

o Brian Stanley: Fish and wildlife management, forestry, mammal study, pioneering, reptile study, shotgun shooting and wilderness survival merit badges; bronze eagle palm and OA vigil honor

o Luke Stanley: Camping and communications merit badges; life rank

o Kyle Zittle: Backpacking, climbing, hiking, photography and stamp collecting merit badges; second silver eagle palm; Philmont OA trail crew

o Earl Selby: 30-year veteran pin

o Don Gehr: 15-year veteran pin

o Dan Bunker: Leader training award; five-year veteran pin; OA Ordeal

o Sandy Bunker: five-year veteran award

o Terry Zittle: 5-year veteran award

o Shauna Stanley: Leader Training Award; five-year veteran pin

o Bentley Straley: Leader training award

Troop 136 is sponsored by the Halfway Lions Club and meets at the Church of the Holy Trinity.
