Meeting for budding architects scheduled for Tuesday at BFM

December 07, 2009

Bushey Feight Morin (BFM) Architects, in conjunction with Learning for Life, a national youth organization, is forming a group for high school students to explore careers in architecture.

The new group will meet about twice a month from January through May. Meeting attendance is not mandatory and there is no long-term commitment.

Participants will get a variety of experiences, including AutoCAD design work, job site visits and hands-on projects.

"This is a great way we can give back to our community that has supported us over the years" said Brent Feight. "We are excited to share our knowledge with the young adults who are interested in learning about architecture."

An information/sign-up meeting is scheduled for Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at BFM Architects, 473 S. Potomac St. Hagerstown. High school students are welcome to bring friends and parents with them.
