Troop 14 holds Court of Honor

Boy Scout Troop 14, Smithsburg, held its quarterly Court of Honor on Aug. 10 at Smithsburg Town Hall.

Scoutmaster Roland Sorensen presented the following Scouts with awards:

o Matt Cumblidge: Citizenship in the nation, cooking, environmental ccience, Indian lore and music merit badges

o James Fitzsimmons: Archery, fingerprinting, rifle shooting, wilderness survival and woodcarving merit badges, second-class rank

o Dylan Froehlich: Citizenship in the nation, archery, environmental science, music and swimming merit badges

o Daniel Jornlin: Fingerprinting, First Aid, leatherwork and swimming merit badges

o Andrew Meighen: Indian lore, pottery, shotgun shooting, weather merit badges

o Chris Mertz: Archery, canoeing, environmental science and leatherwork merit badges

o Allen Reynolds: Archery, canoeing, environmental science and leatherwork merit badges

o Chad Shumaker: Fingerprinting, First Aid, leatherwork and swimming merit badges; Firem'n Chit; Totin' Chip; polar bear swim patch

Andrew Meighen and Peter Sorensen predicated in the National Youth Leadership Training at Sinoquipe Scout Reservation.
