The Thanksgiving celebration took its toll on some of the chapter members, but Darlene led the way again this week as the "Thinner Winner." What a great victory in the midst of all the "fattening festivities."

Throughout the month of December a "fiber contest" challenges each person to include 25 grams of fiber daily. This encourages the contestants to seek the feeling of "fulfillment" from healthy sources rather than overdosing on holiday sweets.

The chapter's annual Christmas celebration is Wednesday. Chapter Members belonging to the area KOPS Honor Society enjoyed a Christmas dinner on Nov. 30, in Waynesboro, Pa. Meetings are held each Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with weigh-in at 8:45 a.m., at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road, Hagerstown. For more information, call Mary or Tom at 301-797-2547.
