SHARPSBURG - Betty Lou Baker, 74, of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Reeders Memorial Home, Boonsboro, Md.

Born May 22, 1935, in Sharpsburg, Md., daughter of the late John Webster "Mac" and Mary Madeline Fisher McGraw.

Betty Lou was employed at the Federal Silk Mill in Williamsport, Williamsport Textiles and Maryland Ribbon Co. She loved children, animals, playing bingo, solving puzzles and being outdoors.

Survivors include husband Willis C. Baker of Sharpsburg, Md.; sister V. Lorraine Petefish of Sharpsburg, Md.; brother Gene H. McGraw and his wife Peg of Sharpsburg, Md.; niece Marsha Gates of Sharpsburg, Md.; nephew David McGraw of Sharpsburg, Md.; great-nephew Colby Gates of Sharpsburg, Md.; caring friend Carolyn Shaw; and several cousins.

At her request, there will be no viewing, and graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Md., on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Susan MacDonald officiating.
