Harold Eugene Corderman, 64, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at his home.

Born June 9, 1945, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Howard L. and Rosie V. Plunkertt Corderman.

He was owner and operator of Corderman's Auto Body Inc. and Corderman's Motorsports Inc.

He served in the U.S. Army as a FP5 during Vietnam.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Harold was a member of the North American Rod and Gun Club, B.P.O. Elks No. 378, Mercersburg Moose, NHRA Drag Racing and Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown and a board member. He was a life member of the V.F.W., Mercersburg, Pa., American Legion, Funkstown Post 211 and AMVETS Post 10.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Vaverchak Corderman; one daughter, Jill Corderman of Hagerstown, Md.; a beloved grandson, Kendall Allen; one brother, Nelson Luther Corderman of Greencastle, Pa.; nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Sassy and Junior Barnes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. Pastor Shane Wilt Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Military graveside services will be conducted by AMVETS Post 10 and the Marine Corps League.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday 30 minutes before the service at the funeral home.
