OSI golf outing raises money to support programs

December 05, 2009

Derrick Donnell, Matthew Ressler, John Piermatteo and Frank Orozco were the winners of the Occupational Services Inc. golf tournament Oct. 19 at Chambersburg (Pa.) Country Club.

Eighteen teams participated in the event that raised money for a building project to house and support the many programs that OSI provides in Franklin and Fulton counties.

Golfers received balls, towels and goodie bags, and were fed a hot breakfast catered by the Woods Caf and sponsored by TB Woods. During a lunch, which was catered by the country club, a 50/50 raffle was held to benefit Franklin County United Way, of which OSI is a member.

The day ended with a ball drop, in which 500 balls were dropped from a lift above a green. Two balls landed in the hole, and the holders of raffle tickets with the corresponding ball numbers each won $50.
