John Wesley Fowler, 74, of Little Hayden Circle, Hagerstown, Md., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday Nov. 30, 2009, from the Hartland Healthcare Center in Adelphi, Md.

Born May 15, 1935, in Heavener, Okla., he was the son of the late Daniel M. and Lillian E. (Queen) Fowler.

He was a retired minister.

He was a member of Willow Brook Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Kay Fowler; son, Mark Fowler of Napa, Calif.; daughters, Melonie Fowler of British Columbia and Marcia Scorpio of Frederick, Md.; sisters, Pauline Holder and Eva Staffeldt; brothers, Lester Fowler and Murel Fowler; grandchildren, Carissa Paulson, Adam Shipowick, April Shipowick, Colter Shipowick, Rachel Scorpio, Alex Scorpio, Haley Hibbs and Lauren Hibbs; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at 4 p.m. from Willow Brook Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Tim Crosby officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5 Public Square, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
