Investigators seek man who robbed Frederick bank

December 04, 2009

Frederick County investigators were searching for a man who they allege robbed a Frederick bank Friday by pretending to be a customer until he confronted a teller.

The man entered the Comstar Federal Credit Union at 5301 Buckeystown Pike, Suite 205, around 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.

He acted as a customer until he reached a teller, at which point he ordered her to give him an undiclosed amount of money, the release said.

He fled the bank on foot and got into a waiting vehicle, described as a gray or blue Buick La Crosse, possibly with Maryland agricultural plates, the release said.
