SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Burke Leigh Feaster, 64, of Shepherdstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Born July 23, 1945, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Harold Wayne Feaster and Maxine Thrasher Feaster.

He was a supervisor employed by AT&T.

He was a member of New Street United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown.

Mr. Feaster was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was associated with the Boys Scouts and Cub Scouts for 40 years, a member of the Order of Arrow and was awarded the Silver Beaver, Wood Badge, and Cross and Flame Badge.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Anderson Feaster; two sons, Burke Feaster Jr. of Inwood, and Shawn Feaster of Martinsburg; two grandchildren, Molly Renae and Maxwell Dean; and one sister, Roxanna Hixenbaugh of Keyser.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Onie Burke Feaster, and a brother, Lynwood Feaster.

Funeral services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at New Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dee-Ann Dixon officiating. Interment will be held at Queen's Meadow Point Cemetery in Keyser.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
