St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will lead the 8 and 10:15 a.m. services Sunday. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. The adult forum topic is The First Paul. The St. Nicholas Day Fair will begin at 11:30 a.m.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside at the 8:15 a.m. communion service and 10:30 a.m. alternative service with communion Sunday on Prepare the Way. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher and presider Sunday at the 8:30 a.m praise worship in fellowship hall and the 10:55 a.m. evangelical service in the sanctuary. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Lay assisting minister is Inge Dudda.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will lead the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on He's Coming. The Fishack family will light the second Advent candle. Mooney and his puppet friends will share a children's sermon.
