Rouzerville, Pa. accident scene

The Pontiac pictured was traveling east Tuesday on Pa. 16 in Rouzerville, Pa., when it left the road and plummeted 20 feet into a ravine.

The adult male driver was pulled from the car and taken to Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, Blue Ridge (Pa.) Fire Chief Jim Meek said. No passengers were in the vehicle, he said.

Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Pa. 16 and Midvale Road around 6 p.m. The car stayed upright as it traveled into the bottom of the outfall on the southwest corner of the intersection. Washington Township, Pa., police were investigating.
