Hagerstown Police seek Sheetz store robber

December 02, 2009

Police were searching Wednesday for a man who robbed a Sheetz convenience store on South Potomac Street in Hagerstown.

During the robbery, which was reported at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday, a man entered the Sheetz at 1396 S. Potomac St. and showed a knife to the clerk, Hagerstown Police Sgt. Jim Robison said.

The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled north on foot, Robison said.

Police used a dog to track him for a short distance and found some evidence along the route the man took but eventually lost the trail, Robison said.
