FREDERICK, Md. -- A man looking at two diamond rings Wednesday afternoon valued at $18,900 at a Zales jewelry store in FSK Mall grabbed the rings from a store employee and fled, according to Maryland State Police.
The man entered the store at 12:16 p.m. and asked to look at two diamond rings, according to a news release.
The man asked if he could compare the rings side by side to see the difference between the two, the release said.
After the employee put the rings on her thumb, the man reached across a counter and grabbed them, the release said.
