Robert Clarence "Bob" Baker Jr., 61, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at his home.

Born Jan. 17, 1948, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Clara Barbara (Lowman) Baker.

He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for more than 13 years at Funk Electric in Hagerstown.

Bob was a lifetime member of the Goodwill Athletic Club in Hagerstown; a member of FO Eagles Aries No. 694 in Hagerstown; and a 30-year member of the Flying Feather Bowling League at Dual Lanes in Hagerstown.

Bob was a faithful blood donor, donating 19 gallons of blood over time.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine A. "Cathy" (Raspe) Baker; three daughters, Kimberly Sue Haines of Hagerstown, Michelle Diane Baker of Maugansville and Torri Lynn Baker of Hancock; a son, Robert C. Baker III of Hagerstown; four sisters, Kathleen Kegarise and Jean Linton, both of Hagerstown, Mary Ann Fry of Stafford, Va., and Shirley Hines of Hagerstown; two brothers, Ronald Baker Sr. of Lamoine, Maine, and Ross Baker of Hagerstown; 15 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.


In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Dawn Baker; and a brother, Richard Leon Baker.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Ron Faith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.

Friends and family will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
