CONWAY, S.C. - Beverly Jean Vaught, 55, of Bryants Landing Road, died Nov. 30, 2009, at Conway Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 8, 1954, a daughter of the late Francis and Helen Faye Stultz Sumner.

She is also predeceased by her grandparents, Tyler Frank Stultz and Ocie Ruby Stultz; and her aunt, Joan King.

Beverly was a nurse in every sense of the word. She enjoyed taking care of others. She loved to sew, cook and collect angels, Santa Clauses, bells and pens. She also loved the beach and her animals, which will miss her very much.

She is survived by her spouse, Deborah Smith, of the home; one daughter, Debra Dawn Stein (Michael) of Maryland; two stepsons, Paul Shultz and Timothy Carson, both of Conway; one brother, Francis "Butch" Sumner of Maryland; five sisters, twin sister, Barbara "Bobbi" Moser (Karl) of Conway, Wendy Crummitt (Allen) of Maryland, Kimberly Sumner of Virginia, Valerie Lane (Brian) of Maryland and Mary Kaye Sumner of Maryland; one granddaughter, Miranda Stein of Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends who will miss her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
