Dec. 12: Smithsburg town Christmas party, Smithsburg fire hall, 4:30 p.m. Free. For ages 12 and younger. Children's activities, games, music, opportunity to get photo taken with Santa. Santa arrives at 5 p.m.

Dec. 14: Smithsburg Middle School Band concerts, school auditorium. Grade seven at 6:30 p.m.; grade eight at 8 p.m.

Dec. 14: Smithsburg Parks and Improvement Commission meeting, Town Hall, 7 p.m.

Dec. 15 and Jan. 5: Chewsville Lions Club meeting, Bethel United Methodist Church, 6:15 p.m.

Dec. 17: Smithsburg High School winter choral concert, school auditorium, 7 p.m. Admission costs $5 per person.

Dec. 16: Smithsburg Middle School sixth-grade band concert, school auditorium, 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 21: Smithsburg Sunshine Leisure Club meeting, Trinity Lutheran Church, 11:30 a.m.

Dec. 28: Anime Club, Smithsburg Library, 4:30 p.m.

Jan. 5: Smithsburg town meeting, Town Hall, 7 p.m.
