So good you can eat it

November 28, 2009

The 2009 special holiday exhibit at Allison-Antrim Museum, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa., will be gingerbread houses and gingerbread boys and girls.

The museum is inviting the public to submit gingerbread creations for display. Museum visitors will vote for their favorite house and favorite gingerbread boy or girl. The first-place winner in both categories will receive a 3-ounce bag of Butterfields hard candy and a copy of the 2007 pictorial history book of Greencastle-Antrim.

If interested in displaying your gingerbread house or boy or girl, call 717.597.9010 so that enough space can be allotted for all the creations.

Gingerbread houses and gingerbread children need to be delivered to the museum no later than 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30.

The holiday exhibits at Allison-Antrim Museum will be displayed from Dec. 1 through Dec. 11, with special open houses from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.
