St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Meredith Olsen will be the guest Sunday at the 8 a.m. service where the Great Litany will be read and at 10:15 a.m. when it will be the processional. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. The adult forum will resume Dec. 6.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor Quentin Fleming will preside at the 8:15 a.m. communion service and 10:30 a.m. alternative service with communion Sunday on the topic, Living with Hope. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher and presider this Sunday at the 8:30 a.m praise worship in fellowship hall and the 10:55 a.m. evangelical service in the sanctuary. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Lay assisting minister is Tyler Fairley.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will lead the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service on The Waiting Game. The Myers family will light the first Advent candle. Mooney and his puppet friend E-Man will share a children's sermon.


First Christian Church, Interim Minister Tim Murtaugh will share the message, Heralds of Glad Tidings: Zechariah, at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services Sunday. Special music by chancel choir and brass ensemble. Sunday school for all ages at 11:15 a.m. Service of remembrance at 3 p.m. Sunday for people dealing with losses.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on Judas Iscariot. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Sunday service at 6 p.m. will feature a hymn sing.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, the children will lead the worship and present a Christmas program at the 10 a.m. service Sunday. Bread and cup communion will conclude the service. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Bible Study for all ages at 9 a.m. Sunday evening's activities begin at 6 p.m. on First Thessalonians. Wednesday's youth service is at 7 p.m. on the topic Last Living Stone.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the message at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday is Called to Cry Out. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will speak at 10:40 a.m. Sunday on Glorious Unity. A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature the topic, Divine Power - Divine Grace by Pastor Steve Burdette.
