SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Ellsworth Music Supply and Repair will offer free demonstration classes for its Music Together for children ages birth to 5 in November and December. Alternative energy course
Hagerstown Community College's Technology and Computer Studies Division will offer a new three-credit course this spring, "Introduction to Alternative Energy" as part of its new alternative energy technology program. The class will be offered 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Mondays, as well as 2:30 to 5:15 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning in the spring 2010 semester. Master Gardener applications
Master Gardeners are accepting applications for the class of 2010. Trained by University of Maryland experts, Master Gardeners earn their gardening know-how thorugh 40 hours of classroom training. Master Gardeners are volunteer educators. They teach people safe, effective gardening techniques through plant clinics, talks, demonstration gardens and more. Training will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays Feb. 11, to April 8. Washington County Agricultural Education Center, 7303 Sharpsburg Pike, seven miles south of Hagerstown. Class size is limited.
