CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- Beginning Monday, weather permitting, Bloomery Road (W.Va. 27) in Jefferson County will be closed to through traffic about two miles north of W.Va. 9 for about a week, the West Virginia Division of Highways announced.
The road closure is necessary for installation of the remaining sections of a precast concrete arch structure for the new four-lane route for W.Va. 9 now under construction, officials said.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, such as the current route for W.Va. 9 and U.S. 340, to avoid the closure.
