Forums to discuss Maryland General Assembly session scheduled

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Two forums about the upcoming Maryland General Assembly session will be held next month.

The first will be Dec. 10 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Leiters' Downtown, 28 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, the former site of Duffy's on Potomac.

The Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the forum and Susquehanna Bank is the sponsor. State delegates and senators have been invited.

Tickets cost $17 for Chamber members and $27 for nonmembers or anyone who registers after Dec. 7.

The second forum, the Washington County delegation's annual pre-legislative meeting, will be at South Hagerstown High School's auditorium Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The public is invited to speak and ask the delegates questions.

If there is inclement weather, the public forum will be canceled and not rescheduled.
