HAGERSTOWN - Chester Milton Frazier Sr., 95, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at his home surrounded by family.

Born June 16, 1914, in Smithsburg, he was the son of the late Clarence N. and Lutie (Whissinger) Frazier.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.

He retired after 23 years at Pangborn.

He was a member of American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro and Hagerstown VFW Post 1936.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fannie E. (Robinson) Frazier; two daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" V. Wallech of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Jean F. Hamilton and husband, Bill, of Melbourne, Fla.; a son, Chester M. Frazier Jr. of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dale Carver and the Rev. Gerald Carbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Welty Cemetery on Welty Church Road in Smithsburg, with military honors being conducted by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
