A grand jury will meet Dec. 1 to hear evidence from an investigation into a fatal car accident at Fairgrounds Park, Hagerstown Police Sgt. Paul Kifer said Tuesday.

Glenda Kay Clements, 54, of 907 Hamilton Blvd., in Hagerstown's North End, died when the car in which she was a passenger crashed at the park's softball field and overturned.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse was discovered Nov. 15 at about 6:30 a.m., police said.

The car appeared to have been driven through the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Security Road at a high rate of speed, collided with curbing inside the park and overturned when it hit the outfield fence, police said.
