MERCERSBURG, Pa. - The James Buchanan High School Varsity Cheerleaders scored in a big way for their community this month, as they completed their food drive for the Mercersburg community.

Seventeen girls collected more than 700 pounds of food for the Feed My People food pantry and ministry in Mercersburg, according to a news release. "This was the first time doing something like this with the girls, and was such a good way for them to bond with each other and to learn about their community," coach Tracy Piper said in the news release.

The JBHS Cheerleaders are now coordinating with United Way of Franklin County and Four Diamonds for upcoming projects.
