The Washington County Health Department will hold a flu vaccination clinic for H1N1 (swine) flu on Monday, Nov. 30, at North Hagerstown High School.
Vaccinations will be available by appointment only. Appointments will be scheduled until 6 p.m.
The health department said 1,900 appointments will be made beginning Monday, Nov. 23, until all appointment slots have been filled.
The H1N1 flu vaccine will be given by injection. The vaccine will not provide protection from the seasonal flu.
The vaccinations will be given to people in all target groups recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including pregnant women; people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months old; health care and emergency medical services personnel; people between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old; and people between the ages of 25 and 64 who are at a higher rise for H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
