Free demo classes

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Ellsworth Music Supply and Repair will offer free demonstration classes for its Music Together for children ages birth to 5 in November and December. Alternative energy course

Hagerstown Community College's Technology and Computer Studies Division will offer a new three-credit course this spring, "Introduction to Alternative Energy" as part of its new Alternative Energy Technology Program. The class will be offered 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Mondays, as well as 2:30 to 5:15 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning in the spring 2010 semester. Master Gardeners applications

Master Gardeners are accepting applications for the class of 2010. Trained by University of Maryland experts, Master Gardeners grow their gardening know-how thorugh 40 hours of classroom training. Master Gardeners are volunteer education. They teach people safe, effective gardening techniques through plant clinics, talks, demonstration gardens and more. CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Franklin County Master Gardener Chris Mayer will teach participants to create a holiday centerpiece with candles, using a variety of cut greens and other natural elements.
