Samples Manor to hold Thanksgiving celebration



Samples Manor Church of God will hold Thanksgiving celebration services Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 27, 28 and 29 at the church at 2128 Harpers Ferry Road.

The Rev. Dave Wilburn will preach Friday evening at 7:30; music will be provided by the Masters Four Quartet. The Rev. John Cook will preach at 7:30 Saturday evening; Danny Figgins will provide the music. The Rev. Lane Fishel will preach at 7 p.m. Sunday evening; Born Again will provide the music.

Keedysville to hold Thanksgiving service



The Keedysville Community Thanksgiving Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on North Main Street in Keedysville with the Rev. Jennifer Kokoski, pastor of Salem United Methodist, preaching.

Sharpsburg to hold community Thanksgiving



The Sharpsburg Community Thanksgiving Service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ on West Main Street in Sharpsburg with the Rev. Tom Fralin, interim pastor of the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren, preaching.

Bake sale to aid church



A Winter Wonderland Artisan Home Show will be held in Keedysville on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

The proceeds from the bake sale will benefit St. Catherine's Orthodox Church of Hagerstown.

The show will include one-of-a-kind cards, tags, journals, dolls, altered art, collage art, holiday, vintage and retro, antiques, stained glass, art glass, jewelry, charms, collaged Victorian vignette shadow boxes and watercolors.

Fire company plans basket bingo



The Potomac Valley Fire Co. in Dargan will hold a basket bingo at the fire hall Saturday, Nov. 28.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and bingo starts at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 for 27 regular games and three special games from $1 to $2.

BHS holds clothing drive



The Boonsboro High School Service Club will hold a clothing drive Dec. 1 to 4. Donations of gently used, clean children's clothing can be dropped off at the school on those dates from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The clothing will be given to Children In Need Inc. to service toddlers through high school age children who are in need.

Museum to offer hearth cooking class
