Adventures in Coffee celebrating grand reopening

November 18, 2009

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Adventures in Coffee on East Main Street will celebrate its grand reopening Thursday, with special recognition of the occasion scheduled for 9 a.m.

New owners Karla and Joe Cox took over the business in early September. They've expanded the menu and established new operating hours.

"Our beverage menu offers something for everyone, from all the traditional coffee drinks to gourmet teas and a selection of cold beverages," Joe Cox said.

Freshly brewed coffees, espresso and lattes can be jazzed up with a variety of flavors -- including seasonal treats like pumpkin spice coffee, gingerbread lattes and chocolate chai lattes, according to a news release.

Popular items like the Blue Ridge hot ham and cheese and the tomato and mozzarella panini remain. New items include a stuffed tomato (choice of chicken salad or tuna salad), and a veggie burger on a multi-grain roll. Hearty homemade soups and chili are a house specialty, with "pot luck" soup on Thursdays.

Joe Cox is the primary cook. He has 15 years of restaurant experience in Florida, where he worked under a French master chef.

Off-site catering is available.
