County all-stars face Pennsylvania tonight

The eighth annual Four Diamonds Classic All-Star Game will be held tonight at Waynesboro High School, beginning at 7.

The game features a team of Washington County seniors against a team of Pennsylvania seniors from Franklin and Fulton counties.

Washington County won last year's contest 2-1 to improve to 1-5-1 in the series.

All proceeds from the game go to the Four Diamonds Cancer Fund.

Hanlin 18th at Beach2Battleship

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Cameron Hanlin, 22, of Hagerstown, recently placed 18th out of roughly 500 competitors at the Beach2Battleship Iron Distance Triathlon.

Hanlin completed the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run in 10 hours, 8 minutes, 22 seconds.

Haje earns All-American honors

CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- King College freshman Naseem Haje, the former Williamsport standout, led his team to a fourth-place finish Saturday at the National Christian College Athletic Association championships.

Haje covered the 8K course in 26:50, placing 15th to earn All-American status.
