Technical high school names students of the month

The following students have been named students of the month at Washington County Technical High School for November:

Kenise Lewis: Health Occupations

Kenise is enrolled in Health Occupations II, Advanced Placement United States History, Advanced Placement English Literature, Yearbook Committee and attends Hagerstown Community College for Sociology 101.

Kenise is a Skills USA representative at Washington County Technical High School.

Kenise hopes to complete the Health Occupations II program with a Certificate of Completion and certification as a CNA. As a student of WCTHS, and a recent student of South Hagerstown High School, Kenise is a member of the Diversity Achievement Council, a member of Link Crew, and runs track and field.

After graduating in 2010, Kenise plans to continue to attend Hagerstown Community College to get her associate degree in biotechnology and then transfer to the University of Maryland to pursue her doctorate in pediatrics. Kenise would like to thank her mother and faculty members of her schools for their support and guidance.


Dylan Reed: Computer Repair and Networking (CISCO Academy)

Dylan is enrolled in Computer Repair and Networking, Advanced Placement Calculus, Advanced Placement English Literature, Honors Physics and Psychology.

Dylan is a senior at Washington County Technical High School majoring in computer repair and networking.

Dylan enjoys his classes and has a 3.8 grade-point average.

In his spare time, he enjoys practicing his guitar and reading about the world of computers.

Dylan plans on going to Hagerstown Community College for two years, then transferring to a four-year college to further his education in computer repair and get his A+ certification.

Dylan would like to thank his friends, teachers and family for all they've done for him.
