SHARPSBURG - Mr. Blake David Stahl, 48, of 17030 Tow Path Lane, Sharpsburg, Md., died at 10:42 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, Md.

Born July 22, 1961, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of David and Phyllis (Wingert) Stahl, Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Stahl graduated with the 1980 class of Chambersburg High School.

He and his wife, Wanda (Witmer) Stahl, were married on June 1, 1985, in Greencastle.

Mr. Stahl was employed by the former D.M.C., Williamsport, Md., and most recently in the receiving department of Trans Wheel Corporation, Williamsport, where he worked for the last seven years.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Boonsboro, Md., where he was involved with the bus ministry.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sister, Melody Baum, and her husband Roy, of Greencastle, and his brother, Brad Stahl, and his wife Sonya, of New Franklin, Pa.


Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Shanks Church of the Brethren, Shanks Church Road, Greencastle, with Pastor Edward Wade and Pastor Aaron Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle.
