Global Data Consultants

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Global Data Consultants LLC was ranked in two categories in the 2009 Central Penn Business Journal's Top Privately Held Companies report.

The firm ranked No. 8 in the top technology category from the list of top 250 privately held companies and ranked No. 5 in the top veteran-owned companies.

Orrstown Financial Services Inc.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Orrstown Financial Services Inc. recently announced net operating results for the third quarter and the nine months ended Sept. 30.

Net income increased by $426,000, or 12.33 percent, from the second quarter of 2009 to the third quarter. Primary earnings per share increased from 54 cents to 61 cents, and diluted earnings per share increased from 51 cents to 58 cents in the same time frame. Net interest income advanced 7.57 percent from $8,812,000 during the second quarter to $9,479,000 in the third quarter.

The board of directors approved a fourth-quarter cash dividend of 22 cents per share for shareholders of record on Nov. 13. The dividend will be paid Nov. 25. For the full year, the company's cash dividend has increased 1.1 percent from 87 cents per share to 88 cents per share.

FREDERICK, Md. - Ramar Moving Systems Inc., an agent of United Van Lines, has been honored by United for exceptional professional achievement.

Ramar Moving Systems received the President's Club Award, $3 million level. The award honors agents who have generated at least $1 million in sales for the United system during the past year.
