Soup to go

This Sunday, Nov. 15, Ebenezer AME Church's Steward Board is sponsoring a "Soup to Go Sale" immediately following the morning worship service.

The varieties of soups are: vegetable beef, bean and chicken noodle and will be available for $3.75 a quart.

Stop by and stock up on soup for the cold winter days ahead!

Memorial service

Join Ebenezer AME Church at its 6th annual Memorial Service during the 11 a.m. morning worship service.

A beautiful DVD presentation will be presented.

Men's day

This Sunday, Nov. 15, the annual Men's Day will be held at Second Christian Church, 65 W. North Ave., and Elder Gordon Lansdowe will be the 10 a.m. service speaker.

Then come back at 3:30 p.m. and hear their guest speaker, the Rev. George Carter, from Arlington, Va.

The theme for this Men's Day is "Strong Men of God."

Baptism for members

The angels always rejoice when a new saint enters into the fold and on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Second Christian Church, three members will be baptized during the 10 a.m. service.


Church breakfast

What are you hungry for? Want to run to the mall but need a bite to eat and don't feel like cooking? Asbury United Methodist Church, 155 N. Jonathan St., invites you to enjoy one of their hearty breakfasts for a small donation.

Save the date

Although the new year is a couple of months away, a Royal Invitation has been extended to all princesses, 3 to 9 years old, and their royal families for a Princess Party on Jan. 16.

Girls should dress in their fanciest, princess/fairy attire and be ready to be photographed with other princesses and fairy friends. There will be royal games and contests to fill the afternoon.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone over the age of 3 years old must have a ticket to enter. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Pastor Appreciation

On Sunday, Oct. 25, Ebenezer AME Church honored their pastor, Rev. Leroy Jackson at a Pastor Appreciation Sunday.

Guest speaker, Troy McWilliams, St. Jude AME Church, Germantown, Md., spoke on "Perseverance in Your Holy Walk."
