Workshop will offer proposal writing basics for nonprofits

The Washington County Free Library will host a free workshop on proposal writing basics for nonprofit organizations Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.

"Proposal Writing Basics" will be led by Harry Sachs, business and government information center librarian, and is an overview of the basic skills needed for writing a proposal, especially for new proposal writers in nonprofit organizations. Janice Rosenberg, senior librarian at the Foundation Center's Washington office, will offer tips on the key components of writing grant proposals, including packaging and follow-up.

The workshop will also provide suggestions on where to find more information about proposal writing, including sample proposals. Registration is required.
