FREDERICK, Md. - Mrs. Thelma Louise Flook, 76, of Hagerstown and formerly of Frederick, died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital, of natural causes. She was the wife of the late Lloyd C. "Bud" Flook Jr., who died in 1974.

Born in Frederick and raised in Lewistown, on Dec. 22, 1932, she was a daughter of the late James F. and Norma B. Ramsburg Marshall.

Together, she and her husband owned and operated a mechanical business from their former residence on Gas House Pike in Frederick. She enjoyed crocheting, working with crafts and spending time in her flower gardens. She was a member of the Boonsboro Family Worship Center.

Surviving are her three children, Larry E. Flook and wife Linda, and Martha A. Dennis and husband Samuel, all of Hagerstown, and Linda L. Linton and husband John, of Frederick; one sister, Mary Hengst, of Lovettsville, Va.; sister-in-law, Grace Marshall, of Frederick; six grandchildren, John P. Linton and wife Jessica, Bryan W. Linton and wife Cathy, Sandra J. Heffner and husband Phillip, Stacy L. Dennis, Heather D. Gordon and husband Christian, and Sheree M. Wyand and husband Curtis; six great-grandchildren, John P. Linton Jr., Jackson H. Linton, Nicole C. Heffner, Phillip M. Heffner, Taylar Spessard and Cierra Bair; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford "Bud" Marshall; and three sisters, Bertha Wastler, Carrie Fisher and Pauline Clingan.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Jack Payne, of Boonsboro Family Worship Center, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
