Thomas "Jinks" J. Bailey III

MARCH 16, 1933-

Jinks was born on March 16, 1933, in Washington, D.C., to Thomas Jennings Bailey Jr. and Isabel Lamberton Bailey, both deceased. He had one brother, Paulding Bailey, also deceased.

Jinks attended Frederick High School and Jeanne Bussard Workshop. He lived in Frederick County most of his life and was employed there by Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont and the Frederick Moose Club. He moved to Washington County many years ago and frequented the Red Byrd Restaurant and Crawford's Confectionery, where he made many friends.

He was a member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NRA, Tuscarora Rod and Gun Club, McClellan Gun Club, Frederick Moose Club and the Redman's Club. He felt honored to have been a member of these associations.

Although Jinks was handicapped, he was an outdoorsman and was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his fondest memories was going to Colorado elk hunting with his friend Carl.

Jinks loved animals and his dog, Hunter, and cat, Cougar, will be lovingly cared for by his longtime friend and advocate, Hazel La Coste.

There will be no funeral, however graveside services will be attended privately by Hazel and her family at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Md.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, Boonsboro, Md.
