For someone considering building his own home, there is no better choice than Mt. Tabor Builders, Inc.

Started in 2001, Mt. Tabor Builders, Inc. is a small, honest, hands-on company that builds a variety of projects, employing experienced tradesmen with backgrounds in many different trades. Owner Willie Eby learned about the building trade from his father, Henry Eby, an honest, hard-working, Christian man.

Mt. Tabor Builders, Inc. is a customer-oriented company that works with customers from the ground up.

This beautiful Cape Cod rustic brick home is located in a rural setting on Mt. Aetna Road. just east of Whitehall Road. A columned front porch and a deck in the rear provide incredible views.

The 2,800-square-foot home is built with a two-car garage and a full basement. A bonus room above the garage adds storage or living space.

An entrance through the garage opens onto the main hallway, which passes a mud room or office with ceramic tiled floor and a double-door closet. The hallway and all floors in this home are constructed of white oak. Nine-foot ceilings throughout the first floor give plenty of space.

A bath with ceramic-tiled floor and storage closet is located conveniently beside the office.

Solid oak stairs in the open foyer lead to two large bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor. Double-hung windows and skylights provide natural light for the bedrooms.

The cathedral ceilings of the foyer and the great room are constructed of tongue-and-groove white pine.

Double-hung, tilt-out Andersen windows provide plenty of natural light in the great room, kitchen and dining room.

The kitchen, eat-in dining room and great room are well-lighted by natural lighting from the many double-hung, tilt-out Andersen windows. A window seat in the great room bay window with under-seat storage adds a warm, comfortable touch. Post-and-beam construction with bents adds a solid feel to the great room and kitchen.

Attractive hickory cabinets in the custom kitchen provide plenty of storage space. Stainless-steel appliances and a counter island will make creating gourmet meals a breeze.

From the great room, sliding double doors open onto the deck, which is built of composite flooring with wood railings.

A door from the master bedroom, located on the first floor, also leads onto the deck. The master bedroom is built with a large, walk-in closet and master bath. The master bath with ceramic-tiled floor is equipped with a jet tub, separate shower and double sinks. A half wall provides a privacy area for the toilet. Heat lamps in the ceiling provide additional warmth on a cold day.

The laundry room, also with ceramic-tiled floor, is easily accessible from the master bedroom.

Windows provide natural light to the unfinished, heated walk-in basement.

This home is heated and cooled in two zones with 16 SEAR ("seasonal energy efficiency ratio") heat pumps. The walls are 6 inches thick and filled with R25-rated insulation.

All interior doors are solid wood. The interior trim is stained.

This home is not for sale, but is open as a showcase for the quality workmanship of Mt. Tabor Builders. However, the company has lots and homes available nearby or will build on your lot.
