Hagerstown Police respond to calls



The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents:

Wednesday:

  • At 9:22 p.m., a rogue and vagabond incident was reported in the 400 block of South Potomac Street.

  • At 3:22 p.m., a second-degree assault was reported in the unit block of Baltimore Street.

    Tuesday:

  • At 4:32 a.m., a violation of a protection order was reported in the 300 block of West Side Avenue.

  • At 8:29 p.m., a second-degree assault was reported in the 600 block of George Street.

  • At 10:03 p.m., a second-degree assault was reported in the 600 block of George Street.

  • At 6 p.m., a diaper bag was reported lost in the 300 block of West Washington Street.

    Monday:

  • At 12:37 p.m., property damage and fourth-degree burglary were reported in the 200 block of Mont Valla Avenue.

    Saturday:

  • At 3:50 p.m., identity theft was reported in the 400 block of George Street.




    Pa. police investigate incident with meat truck



    WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Waynesboro and Washington Township police stopped a Capital Meats truck near Golden Corral on Pa. 16 at 5 p.m. Tuesday, after receiving a report of a fight involving a handgun.

Waynesboro Police Chief Mark King said a resident of West 10th Street reported he thought he saw a handgun during a verbal altercation with three people traveling in a Capital Meats truck.

Police from the two agencies stopped that truck and searched for the gun, but found nothing, King said.
