The top five things to do this week

Murder, they spoke

Chambersburg Community Theatre presents "Rehearsal for Murder," in which, as the mystery unfolds, the theater becomes the set for the play. The show opens at 8 Friday at The Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, Pa.

Rockin' tribute

Two bands pay tribute to their favorite rock-band legends at The Maryland Theatre. The Glimmer Twins, a Rolling Stones tribute band, perform Friday night, while Dark Star Orchestra, a Grateful Dead tribute band, performs Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Dancin' in the Hangar

An evening of dance and aircraft raises money for the Community Free Clinic of Washington County. The event is Saturday, Nov. 7, at Hagerstown Aircraft Services Inc., near the airport, and includes music by Dem Guise from Chambersburg, Pa.


Festival of Light

The 11th annual Berkeley Springs Festival of Light features more than 40 practitioners of spiritual and physical healing techniques. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Ice House, 138 Independence St., Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Christians rock

Last week we chatted with Superchick's lead singer. The band performs at 6 tonight at Covenant Baptist Church, 7485 Shepherdstown Pike, Shepherdstown, W.Va.

The five free things to do this week

Works in mixed media

Collaged artwork by Don Joint will be exhibited at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Opening reception from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, with a gallery talk by Joint at 3 p.m.

Little things come in artistic packages at The Council for the Arts' Miniature Art 2009 exhibition. Opening reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Council for the Arts in Chambersburg, Pa.
