Boonsboro FFA students win silver medal at national ag convention

INDIANAPOLIS -- Members of the Boonsboro High School FFA chapter attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis Oct. 21 to 24. 

Kayla Eury and Erin Canfield competed in the Agriscience Fair in the engineering category with their project about biodiesel titled "Going Green with Biodiesel."  They received a silver medal. 

Ashlee Kline and Eric Kline competed in the Agriscience Fair in the zoology category with their project about chickens. They received a bronze medal.  Ashley Lowery also competed in the Agriscience Fair in the botany category with her project called "Root Race." She received a bronze medal. 

Scott Debaugh and Josh Planck also attended the convention.

The members were accompanied by advisers Steven Garland and Mark Heavner. 

While in Indiana, the members went to a Toby Keith concert and a rodeo. 

They had the opportunity to walk around a career show, which had several booths representing colleges and companies.
