Berkeley County Assessor's Office closing early

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- The Berkeley County Assessor's Office in the county's administration (Dunn) building at 400 W. Stephen St., in Martinsburg closed at noon Monday because of ongoing construction work on the building's roof and air handling system, county officials announced on Monday.

The office will close at noon Tuesday as well.

It will resume normal business hours Wednesday, according to a news release by County Administrator Deborah Hammond.

The construction work is scheduled to be completed by January, officials have said.
