Hancock Halloween parade winners announced

The Town of Hancock provided the names of the following Hancock Halloween parade winners. The parade was held Wednesday night in Hancock.

Muscle cars -- First place, Danny Flowers, Chevelle; second place, Judith Burton, '64 Plymouth Fury.

Antique trucks -- First place, Lawrence McGowen, '50 Chevy pickup.

Unique rides -- First place, Bun True '54 Kaiser Darrin; second place, Marty Courser, '60 Nash Metropolitan.

Classics -- First place, Neil Newkirk, '55 Chevy; second place, John Demarinis, '63 Falcon.

Cheerleaders -- First place, Raiders cheerleaders; second place, Hancock High School cheerleaders.

Majorettes -- First place, Silver Starlettes; second place, Morgan County Dance and Drill Team.

Dance/gymnastic teams -- First place, X-Treme Magic Allstars; second place, Rankin Gymnastic Club.

Humorous floats -- First place (tie), Hahn & Nelson, "Health and Fitness" and Red Neck "Star Wars"; second place, War Memorial Hospital, "Boogying for a Better Health"; third place, Interfaith Service Coalition, "Memories of Mayberry."


Business and community floats -- First place, Murray's Excavating, "Potomac's Fortune"; second place, Town of Hancock, "Fall Fest"; third place, CNB, "Birthday Cake"; honorable mention, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, "Noah's Ark;" Tower Bank, "Hunting for a New Bank"; and Lions Club, "Going Green."

Children's floats -- First place, Cub Scout Pack 15, "Pirates of the Caribbean"; second place, Good Shepherd Preschool, "It's Electrifying"; third place, Brownie Troop 40903, "Snow White"; honorable mention, Girl Scout Troop 40613, "New Council/New Cookies."
